Sugar/candy issues aside (please don't lecture me on giving my kid candy as a reward), can I use Easter candy, Halloween candy, or gifted candy as rewards for good behavior or potty?

Since I am the person that may have introduced your child to candy (m&ms, and also chocolate milk) I will say that I think candy is a GREAT reward! They LOVE it and sometimes it's the only thing that works. And if you are someplace where there is candy - you can take some home and say "let's work for this candy - what can you do to earn this?" ie: halloween candy, easter candy etc.
But I do have an "understanding" with my family that we try not to give too much candy for these types of holidays. And for Halloween, mom and dad eat most of it before kid even knows it's gone.
M&Ms helped potty train jake. But the hazard is....too much and your child is bouncing off the walls. And once they taste it, it's ALL over.
